Your Year For Success

“Empty pockets never held anyone back. Only empty heads and empty hearts can do that.” ~Norman Vincent Peale

How do you make this the year that you succeed at your goals? I have several suggestions that I believe will help you.

  • Be clear and precise Make sure that your goals are very clear and specific.  They should be written down and should include smaller, doable steps and should also have a target date for completion.
  • Become an expert Read at least one book every month on a particular topic that will make you more knowledge in some area that will help you to reach your goals.  Goal setting may be a great place to start.
  • Stay the course Do not give up on your goal when you run into obstacles.  Obstacles generally serve to steer us in a better direction.  It’s not necessarily a sign that the goal should be abandoned.
  • Reward yourself Acknowledge and reward yourself for smaller accomplishments along the way.  This will help to keep you motivated.
  • Be accountable Share your goals with someone else.  If you are unwilling to share your goals with someone else, it may indicate that you are fearful from the beginning that you won’t succeed.
  • Be flexible Be willing to make adjustments along the way.  As life changes, you need to be able to make changes too.

Make this the year you achieve your goals.  Today is the day to get those goals written down, plan your course of action, fill your head with the information or knowledge that you need, and make yourself accountable to someone.

I leave you with this video about the Quest for Success.

Wishing you a happy and successful year ahead!

  1. I like the mention of obstacles. And it reminds me of one of my favorite quotes: “Obstacles are those frightful things that appear when you take your eyes off the goal…”

  2. Enjoyed the video. Success comes in so many forms. Make things happen for you ,and not let them happen to you.
